St Martin

Due to the passage of Hurricanes Irma and Maria, the Foreign & Commonwealth Office is advising against travel to this destination.  We are therefore suspending forward bookings until further notice and will continue to monitor the advice.

We, as a company dedicated to the Caribbean and as individuals who have a long standing relationship and passion for these destinations and their amazing people, are deeply saddened by the devastation. We will be supporting as much as possible and encourage you to donate anything you can to the Caribbean Tourism Organisation Fund or via the British Red Cross (the UK Government are matching donations pound for pound) to assist in aid and relief efforts. Many thanks for any contributions.

Gemma Lewis and Andrea Lovering.

The island of St Martin is divided into two parts, the north is French and the south is Dutch and called “Sint Maarten”. Originally, the territory was inhabited by Amerindians. Since the 17th century, the island has been occupied by the French, the English and the Dutch. The French side of the island exudes a stylish ambience, is known as the culinary capital of the Caribbean and we feature some stunning accommodations to experience the attractions of this enticing island.

With breathtaking scenery, you can explore St Martin in a variety of ways, from zip lining your way through hills or enjoy a ride on horseback. The Mornes, small mountains on the island, are full of hiking destinations (such as Paradise Peak, Mont Careta, Mont France.).The island is blessed with lovely white sand beaches and turquoise waters. For those who love the water, there are plenty of water sports, and it’s the perfect destination for a catamaran cruise. Divers will experience some fantastic corals and undersea caves. A trip to Fort Louis is also recommended to admire the wide open view of Marigot Bay and visit the museum “On the trail of the Arawaks” that tells the island’s history until the 1930s.

DINING, BARS AND NIGHTLIFE

Being a French territory you can expect to experience culinary delights, from fine dining to a local barbeque grill with an abundance of fried fish and lobster. There is also a lovely blend of European and West Indian influences.

There are plenty of bars and night spots to dance the night away or enjoy a relaxing sundowner.
