FAQ’s

These are the most commonly asked questions, if you have any other queries, please don’t hesitate to contact us:

  • ARE RATES PER PERSON OR FOR THE VILLA?

The majority of standalone/private villa rates are for the entire villa and up to the maximum occupancies stated. Villa resorts however are often based on 2 adults sharing per bedroom and then additional charges for extra adults. Children policies vary with some resorts allowing children or first child free. Most offer infants free and provide cots as needed. Be sure to let us know the size of your party including number and ages of children and we will ensure we quote you correctly. Please advise us immediately in the event of the number in your party changing after you have booked with us.

  • ARE CHILDREN ALLOWED?

The majority of our villas are family friendly and great for children. There are a few that are either adults only or more suited to adults. Allow us to ensure you choose an ideal option if you are travelling with children.

  • WHAT IS THE REQUIRED LENGTH OF STAY?

Most villas will require a 4 to 7 night stay, depending on the time of year (higher seasons require longer stays).

  • WHEN DO SEASONS CHANGE?

In the Caribbean, the high season is from mid-December until mid-April (around Easter time) and low season the rest of the year. We strongly recommend you book as far in advance for the high season, when demand is at its greatest.

  • ARE VILLAS MORE EXPENSIVE THAN HOTELS?

On first glance most people think villas look far more expensive than a hotel, however, remember that most of our private villas are for the entire property and therefore the per person rate between each guest is often far better value than booking several rooms at a luxury hotel. Plus, you have the place to yourself in a fabulous location that rivals most hotels!

  • WHICH ISLAND SHOULD I CHOOSE?

Every Caribbean island has a different feel, history, typography and offers a unique experience. Barbados and Antigua are known for being well-developed and popular choices, whereas St Lucia, Nevis or Tobago offers a more relaxed environment that takes you back to nature. The BVI’s are unique in that you can explore nearby islands with ease and also enjoy a secluded getaway. There is no right or wrong answer. Our Destination pages offer some key information and talk to us about what you are looking for in your holiday and we can advise you. Often it is more about the villa itself than the destination.

  • DO VILLAS INCLUDE FULL TIME STAFF?

Not all villas automatically include full time staff and our individual villa pages denote what staff services are included in the rate. If you would like a cook or additional staff most villas can offer this at an additional cost. Allow us to organise for you in advance. All villas will include housekeeping services (please confirm frequency with us).

  • CAN WE PRE-STOCK THE KITCHEN?

Many of our villas offer a pre-stocking service if you wish to have groceries purchased and the kitchen stocked on arrival. Allow us to organise this for you. Allow us to organise this for you.

  • CAN YOU ORGANISE AIRPORT TRANSFERS AND CAR HIRE?

We certainly can. We have preferred transport companies in each destination that offer private airport transfers, car hire, excursions and tours. Allow us to organise this for you.

  • WHAT IS THE DEPOSIT AND CANCELLATION POLICY?

A deposit equal to 50% of the total is required within 3 business days to confirm your reservation. Final payment is due 90 days prior to departure. This may differ during peak holiday periods. If the reservation falls within 90 days, full payment is required at the time of booking. Minimum stays may be required depending on the villa booked.
Cancellation penalties can differ broadly depending on the Villa booked. Cancellations received 90 days or less prior to departure are non-refundable. It is recommended that you to take out travel insurance that covers cancellation of villa rental. Christmas and New Year bookings are also non-refundable. Please check at point of booking for exact cancellation penalties for your rental.

  • WHAT ARE SECURITY DEPOSITS?

Some villas will take a security deposit (refundable) on your credit card on arrival to protect against property damages. Any deposits are outlined on the individual villas page on the website.

  • DO I NEED TRAVEL INSURANCE?

We strongly recommend that you take out travel insurance that covers penalties if you change your booking and insurance for any accidents or events during your holiday.

  • DO I NEED INOCULATIONS TO VISIT YOUR DESTINATIONS?

The Caribbean does not require any inoculations but we recommend you pack mosquito repellent. It is always advisable to speak to your doctor before you travel.

  • WHAT ABOUT SECURITY?

All our villas are vetted for their security. Many have secured access and security guards and the vast majority have safes for your possessions. Our on-island agents are available to contact in the event of an emergency. Our featured destinations are known for their safety and friendliness, but we recommend that you always remain vigilant as you would whenever you travel.
