Northern Italy

Northern Italy consists of eight administrative Regions in northern Italy: Aosta Valley, Piedmont, Liguria, Lombardy, Emilia-Romagna, Veneto, Friuli-Venezia Giulia and Trentino-Alto Adige/Südtirol.

Northern Italy attracts visitors from all over the world from those who want to visit the canals of Venice, the capital of Veneto, to the spectacular northern lakes, including Lake Como.

Lake Como, the third largest of the Italian Lakes, is located in Italy’s Lombardy region and is an upscale resort area known for its dramatic scenery and is set against the foothills of the Alps. The lake is shaped like an upside-down Y, with three slender branches that meet at the resort town of Bellagio. At the bottom of the southwest branch lies the city of Como, home to Renaissance architecture.
